FM Extra Cavat (23)

FM Extra Cavat is an eye-catching chestnut filly by Excelsior Optimus, out of our international 1.50m mare Cajza Cavat (Caressini L × Ralmé Z). With her four white legs, endless energy and plenty of personality, the name Extra suits her perfectly.

Her dam Cajza Cavat competed successfully up to international 1.50m level, with numerous wins and placings throughout her career. Performance runs throughout the family, with ten siblings who competed at 1.50–1.60m level, including championship winners and Nations Cup jumpers.

At the heart of the family is Extra’s granddam, the legendary Swedish mare Ralma, who produced an incredible 10 direct offspring competing at 1.50–1.60m level. Among them are the Grand Prix horses Bella, Caral, Carma, Curant and Lanz, alongside Cajza Cavat and many more!

Her sire Excelsior Optimus (Ermitage Kalone × Bamako de Muze) is an exciting young BWP-approved stallion with performance on both sides of his pedigree. He is a son of Olympic stallion Ermitage Kalone, while his dam Cacacha van het Schaeck competed at 1.60m level and also produced Like a Diamond van het Schaeck, the CSI5* Grand Prix winner ridden by Marlon Modolo Zanotelli. His granddam Fortis Fortuna was herself a 1.60m performer, giving Excelsior two consecutive generations of 1.60m mares behind him.

FM Extra Cavat is also a sister to our FM Calia Cavat, FM Eclair Cavat and FM Estelle Cavat, continuing Cajza’s family through several carefully selected sire lines.

With Excelsior Optimus × Cajza Cavat, Extra brings together two maternal families filled with proven 1.50–1.60m performance, while introducing the next generation of Ermitage Kalone into the Cavat family.
