Sigrid

Sigrid, officially Chacoon’s Love PS, is a 7-year-old mare by Chacoon Blue × Stakkato × Cento and very much represents the type of mare we look for at FM Equestrian. She is a stunning, blood-type mare with enormous scope, a huge stride, natural athleticism and plenty of presence.

On the maternal side, Sigrid descends from the renowned Penny Lover damline, a family that has produced numerous international Grand Prix horses and approved stallions. Her dam Stakkato Love (Stakkato × Cento) is a daughter of Pennycent, with the influential Penny Lover at the foundation of the family.

The strength of this maternal line is particularly evident through Pennycent, whose offspring include several 1.60m performers, among them Bacentus, Gabbiano 11 and H5 Messentus PS, as well as the approved 1.60m Grand Prix stallion Chacco Lover (Diablo Blanco). The wider Penny Lover family has produced numerous other international horses, demonstrating the depth and consistency of performance throughout the damline.

Her sire Chacoon Blue (Chacco-Blue × Cartoon) competed successfully up to international 1.50m level and has since established himself as an important sire of international showjumpers. As a son of Chacco-Blue, he brings one of the most influential sire lines in modern showjumping into an already highly proven maternal family.

For us, Sigrid is particularly interesting because she combines her own enormous scope, blood and athleticism with a damline where top-level performance has repeated itself through several generations.

Sigrid is currently being produced in sport while simultaneously forming part of our breeding programme, allowing us to learn more about her as an individual and athlete while continuing the proven Penny Lover family into the next generation at FM Equestrian.
