FM Estiny S is a filly by Emerald van ’t Ruytershof, out of Destiny S (Luidam × Calvados) — and a particularly special filly for us as the first granddaughter of the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Voila.
On her dam’s side, Estiny represents the next generation of Voila’s family. Her dam Destiny S, by the 1.60m Grand Prix stallion Luidam, is a direct daughter of Voila, bringing together Luidam with the blood of Calvados × Concorde × Ramiro Z.
Voila competed successfully up to international 1.60m level for Great Britain with Olympic rider Robert Smith. Her career highlights include winning the CSIO5 Nations Cup in Dublin*, finishing 3rd in the Grand Prix of Rome, 6th in the Grand Prix of Doha, 4th in the World Cup class in Verona and 8th in the Longines King George V Gold Cup at Hickstead.
Her sire Emerald van ’t Ruytershof (Diamant de Semilly × Carthago) needs little introduction. Together with Harrie Smolders, he competed at the very highest level of international sport, including the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and World Cup Finals, alongside numerous 5* Grand Prix and Nations Cup performances. He has since established himself as one of the leading sires of international showjumpers.
As Voila’s first granddaughter, FM Estiny S marks an exciting new generation for this family — combining Emerald × Luidam × Voila and continuing a maternal line built on proven international performance.
FM Estiny S was bred in partnership between FM Equestrian and Olympic rider Robert Smith and his wife Raffaelle Smith. It makes this next generation particularly special, continuing the family of a mare Robert himself successfully competed at the highest level.
