Happy M

Happy M is a mare by Hickstead White × Calido I, currently competing successfully at 1.45m level. She is a modern, blood-type mare with scope, quality and a strong performance pedigree, making her an exciting addition to our breeding programme at FM Equestrian.

Her dam Charleen M (Calido I) has proven herself as an exceptional producer, with 7 offspring competing between 1.40m and 1.60m level — representing 77.7% of her offspring in sport. This consistency in producing performance horses was one of the qualities that particularly attracted us to Happy and her maternal family.

Happy is already beginning to prove herself as a producer in her own right. Her young son Cool Sox M (Colman × Happy M) is already competing successfully at 1.20m level, giving us an exciting first indication of Happy’s potential as a broodmare alongside her own successful sport career.

Her sire Hickstead White (Hickstead × Coupe de Coeur) is a direct son of the legendary Hickstead, individual Olympic Champion with Eric Lamaze and one of the most successful showjumpers of his generation.

With Happy’s own performance at 1.45m, the consistency of her dam Charleen M as a producer, and the early success of her own offspring, she represents exactly the type of mare we want to build our breeding programme around — proven performance backed by generations of production.
